Large vessel vasculitis: manifestation of graft-versus-host disease?

J Neurol. 2009 Nov;256(11):1947-9. doi: 10.1007/s00415-009-5272-6. Epub 2009 Aug 5.

Abstract

Graft-versus-host disease is an immunological complication after allogeneic stem cell transplantation that is known to affect internal organs and smaller vessels of the body. We report a peripheral stem cell recipient who developed a generalised large vessel disease. We suggest that this patient suffered from large vessel vasculitis caused by chronic graft-versus-host disease.
