MR imaging of colonic lipoma

J Comput Assist Tomogr. 1991 May-Jun;15(3):492-4. doi: 10.1097/00004728-199105000-00029.

Abstract

Colonic lipomas may present with symptoms similar to colonic malignancies but require a much less aggressive surgical approach to control the symptoms and provide a cure. This case illustrates the efficacy and advantages of MR, using a barium sulfate enema in noninvasive, preoperative diagnosis of a colonic lipoma, thus facilitating appropriate management of the patient.
