Abstract

The results of treatment with prostaglandin E2 (PgE2) of 26 surgical patients with acute renal failure (ARF) are presented. PgE2 at a daily dose of 1-1.5 mg was administered intravenously drop-by-drop for 3-7 days. Duration of therapy with PgE2 was defined by the degree of restoration of renal function and normalization of metabolic indices.
