In brief Active patients, with or without cardiovascular disease, are often concerned about the risk of serious heart complications brought on by exercise. What can physicians tell patients about the risks of exercise versus its benefits? How can physicians identify those at risk? How useful are stress tests? What exercise intensity is best? A panel of experts addresses these issues.
