Abstract

Elaphoglossum sinii C. Christensen 1932 is an endemic species of Elaphoglossum (Dryopteridaceae) in China, distributed in Guangxi and Yunnan provinces. Here, we assembled and annotated the first complete chloroplast genome sequence of E. sinii, which has a circular structure of 163,869 bp in length and GC content is 40.8%. The chloroplast genome contains 121 genes, including 79 protein-coding genes, 34 tRNA genes, and eight rRNA genes. Phylogenetic analysis based on the protein-coding sequences showed that E. sinii is closely related to Elaphoglossum yoshinagae. These results could provide the genetic information data for further phylogenetic studies of Elaphoglossum.
